RSS Feeds |
|
Many times when I suggest the creation of a RSS feed, the first question is, What is a RSS feed?, and secondly, how will this help my site? Simply put, a RSS feed is a listing of urls meant to be read by machines, not humans. There are much better explanations on the 'Net, do a search for a more extensive answer. Anyways - The value of a RSS feed is that the person who subscribes to your feed is very interested in what you have to say. So, instead of marketing to the mass public and hoping that some people find you, here, the reverse is happening. The best advice for a feed is to update it frequently, and keep it interesting to the reader, and you'll see the benefits of the feed over time. -To your online success!
