Online isnt always the answer

As a music fan, I always am looking for something new to listen to, or like to find rare recordings of my favorite artists.

Well, one of the seasonal albums I listen to is called Merry Axemas, which is a host of Christmas songs played by famous gunslingers - if you play guitar that is. Most people on the street wouldn't know who these guys are, but if you play, you know them very well.

So, as I was looking for the latest x-mas cd to get, I did a search at Amazon and to my delight, I discovered that they had just released a Merry Axemas Vol 2 this year!

So, of course, I instantly bought it. That was 2 weeks ago.

In the meantime, life takes me to different places and one of them is Wal-Mart, much criticized of late, but nonetheless available.

As I was buying the $.68 christmas lights that I could place outside and never give a second thought to if they would work next year, I spotted in one of their Christmas music bins, Merry Axemas Vol 2.

I wanted to buy that on the spot even though I had already purchased it online. But since I knew it was coming, I just decided to wait until it arrived.

The 2 weeks go by and no package from Amazon. Very strange. Then, I get an email from them yesterday stating that they had no online vendors who had that particular cd in stock, so they refunded my order.

I went to Wal-Mart this morning and picked up the cd. (And it's great, by the way)

I'm wondering of Wal-Mart bought all the available copies? I can't imagine this particular CD being a hot item, but I was extremely satisfied and thankful for Wal-Mart.

Say what you want about Wal-Mart, Amazon or buying anything online, but sometimes, you just can't get what you need from the Internet.

-To your online success!
