Holiday Hangover

To stay within the realm of appealing to everyone, you must now endorse Happy Holidays instead of singling out any of the three events.

Regardless of your beliefs, everyone seems to love shopping.

With that in mind, every year stories of shrinking sales blamed on the Internet and gas prices are very common.

When you apply some reasoning to this trend, it makes perfect sense. While it's very easy to browse online, some items need to be seen in person in order to appreciate their true value.

Also, when you physcially walk into a store, there are many places for your eye to wander, versus a focused approach when you are on the Internet.

Funny how on the Internet, you want to focus a page for each item, but when you enter a store, you are bombarded with many options.

Which is more effective?

That's hard to say since they both produce great results.

In the end, they both work well for their audience: If you have too many items on a web page, you'll confuse the user with too many options, but in the "real world", more products imply more options.

-To your online success!
