As part of my daily routine, there are a number of forums that I read and participate in. Most times I only chime in when someone has a question that hasn't been answered, or if someone else posted the wrong information. Just from doing this, I've seen an increase in PM's asking for more advice. It's funny that by replying to a few posts you are perceived as an expert in that field. While I think that I am successful in my industry, I wouldn't consider myself an expert - I consider an expert as someone who has tried everything out there - and both failed and has had success. While I've done my fair share of both, I don't dabble with the "dark side" of seo - unless someone wants to pay me, and they are fully aware of the possible effects it may have. Back to topic - From these forum replies, people are very often grateful of my advice, and for a brief moment in time, I've helped them solve a problem or make thier life a little bit easier.
