Forum Signatures |

On some forums, they are disabled, or flat out forbidden completely, but on some more liberal forums, you can use your signature to createa nice text link to your site. Take advantage of this! There are some who feel that this is a type of spam, since once you become a member of a forum, you could post many times in order to get the search engines to pick up your link. No matter how many times you post, you are only going to get 1 "vote" from that forum site. So, I don't see what the big deal is. If the forum moderators really wanted to crack down on that type of abuse, perhaps they should enable some type of system where your hyper-linked signature doesn't work until you've made 20 posts or something along those lines.
