It happens to every business. At some point a client is going to leave you for someone else or they feel that they can do better elsewhere. This is an opportunity for another client reference. While it will impact your bottom line, when a client leaves, you should use it as an opportunity to gain some valuable feedback. Since the client is leaving, they may be more inclined to be truthful on decision, and that feedback can be used to improve your other customer realtionships. Also, when a client leaves, treat them the same as when they first came onboard. Be sure to wrap everything up, give them everything they are owed, and thank them for their business. I can't tell you how important it is to leave on good terms - you just never know when that former client will talk about you - There may be other reasons you aren't aware of as to why they left in the first place, and besides, there's so little time in life anyways, why waste it? -To your online success!
